Tribute to Ted Marr Sr by Ted Marr Jr

"Wilcannia, his home for over 60 years and the place he loved most and where he was always happiest. The Darling River, beside the homestead, was high and running robustly for the first time in years, and Ted & Vicky enjoyed a walk along the river bank that morning, where they were delighted to see that Ted's cattle looked fit and were benefiting from a much improved season after several years of drought. He was, as we say these days, in a very good place, and we can truly say that his life was rich and fruitful to the last.

You will miss him terribly, but be happy for him. There is no death.
"

Faithfulness springs forth from the

earth,

And righteousness looks down from

heaven,

The lord will indeed give what is

good,

and our land will yield its harvest.

Psalms 85:11-12 (NIV)

Ted, Mary just found this, and we both are deeply moved. We loved our brief time at the picnic on the banks of the Darling River, with you, your dad, and Vicki, and our great adventure at Mt. Murchison. Our favorite memory ! Bob
