HUNTERS Hill Council’s cocktail party on Cockatoo
Island was a great success – hopefully raising more than
$100,000 towards the restoration of the historic Priory.
More than 350 tickets to the event last Friday night
were sold at $150 each.
Revellers were ferried out to the island, which is being
opened to the public by the Sydney Harbour Federation
Trust after spending some $60million renovating and
remediating the island and its buildings.
